Oswal group [aka Burrup fertilisers] had poured a massive funding effort via Grainol to setup an ethanol plant in Rockingham. Had merit until late last year when they pulled the plug. Intention was for branded Westpetro ethanol of various grades to be made available locally and for export.
Turned to shit, so now Wait Awhile earns its name yet again. |
sounds like bp98 all over again!

Usual red tape bullshit.

"Bio-fuel cannot be sold in WA because it fails State requirements under the Reid vapour pressure test which measures the volatility of petroleum products.
Heather Brodie, chief executive of the Bio-Fuels Association of Australia, said other State Governments had adjusted their regulations to allow the sale of the greener fuel. A spokesman for WA Environment Minister Donna Faragher said she was considering advice from the Department of Environment and Conservation, but would not disclose whether that advice was to allow the sale of ethanol in WA" Donna is a ranga but a few here would have a crack I reckon. Suggest we all send her email supporting E85 Honourable Donna Faragher MEd(Hons) BA(Hons) GradDipEd JP MLC Minister for Environment; Youth Address: 10th Floor, Dumas House, 2 Havelock Street, WEST PERTH WA 6005 Telephone: (08) 9213 7250 Fax: (08) 9213 7255 e-Mail: Minister.Faragher@dpc.wa.gov.au Internet: www.premier.wa.gov.au/Ministers/Donna-Faragher |
er so whats the go with bio-diesel ?
Diesel won't catch fire from a naked flame and the flash point for bio diesel is over 130 degrees celcius so it's not as dangerous as diesel which flash's over 60 degrees celcius. Unless mixed with Ammonium Nitrate to make ANFO. Then it just gets old fashioned fun. |
