In Margs, just bring a tent and camp on the beach. You wont need an alarm clock as there will be a helpful local blaring at you at 5:30am in the morning about how they have already called the local authorities ;)

Was epic fun though :D

If you are just going down and won't be leaving the bedroom ;) try places out of the way like Marg's Beach Resort (used to be in the entertainment book too so good discount). Can get a nice townhouse thing with multiple beds cheap. Bring another friend of hers along to share the cost and uhh 'activities'.

Otherwise, rent a house in Duns. Can set up multiple bedrooms with different themes (1 x sleeping room, 1 x dungeon, 1 x school girl outfit room, etc) and also removes the argument (lol) of who will sleep in the wet patch.

How much do you want to spend a night?

Bound to impress your missus, and probably even someone elses! ;o)

I went with my missus to a place called Forest Rise Eco Retreat.
Because it is winter/cold they were doing specials so it wasn't that expensive.
If you want a romantic sorta stay it's perfect.
Some good things are
-Big spa, with glass roof to check out stars, also candles.
-Mountain bikes are provided, there are several easy tracks around the property through the forest, good fun. The house has binos, and bird/animal books if that is your interest.
-No formal check in. We didn't see a single other guest the whole time. All the houses are hidden from each other in the bush.
I can't think of a single bad thing. (Apart from reading through the guest book, and "We felt like naughty enchanted ferries" had been written by "Richard and David"... haha)
We paid 660 for 3 nights. So 220 a night is only 110 a night each.
