I was born & lived in Medina then moved to Kwinana and finally to Rockingham by the time I was 5, it was a beautiful safe little sort of country town with lots of retired farmers and refinery workers, great beaches and 2 ferries running to Garden Island holiday resort every day which had a permanent shop & lots of beach shacks, there was one primary school & no high school (I had to go to Kwinana) then it started to grow.
We got out when I was 13 & all the Poms started to move into the new area called Rockingham Park ( The area between the big shopping center & the old part of Rockingham) Medina always had a really bad name but within a few years of leaving Rocko was getting just as bad.....I say blame the Poms & their offspring, I was one but left haha.

I was born in Rockingham. Lived there till 3 years old then moved to Homestead Ridge. Moved back to Rocko aged 8 then to Mandurah aged 10. Now I call Perth my home. Would never live back in Rocko, saw my younger brother get beaten up out the front of Wanbro Maccas a few years ago mind you he was dressed like an emo at the time but still unprovoked attack and all

I live in rocko to. We like the area being near the beach, the parks, being quiet. Just somedays we dread the travel as we both work in the city

my in laws are in rocko. I put up xmas lights on some pencil pines out the front of their house and ondered why no other houses had xmas lights. Sure enough a few days later they said some kids tried to rip it down.
