ok you asked so here is my reasoning:

I guess I look at the 8 years I was with my wife as time wasted because I have to go through it all again in another relationship to get to where we were. I was building something and now it's been torn down around me. Memories are great but I'd prefer to have my 8 years back to create the memories with someone I'm going to spend the rest of my life with. She did nothing to save the relationship when she saw it sliding and everything to destroy it. Hell she didnt even tell me she thought it was sliding. I thought everything was going perfectly right until the last moment.

Ok the wound is still obviously fresh. Maybe my point of view will change. But yah, I consider it wasted.

what do you mean by "dark on women"?

Pretty much, yeah.

I'm a happier guy since I learned just to take things as they come, no matter how cruel and unusual they may be at the time.

This is commonly refferred to between my mates as a fof or fuck off fund. The logic is you go and bury some cash. If all is well and you end up getting married and everything is sweet you dig it up and bring it home and tell the missus you had a win at the races.
