5 Greates cars of ALL TIME?
 

Ok so after a lenghty discussion here at work i have figured out i work with morons, someone brought up the topic of greatest cars of all time and stated it must be the Buggatti as it is simply the fastest!

I on the other had tend to think of other cars as being greater and for different reasons!

I know that i will be shot for this but i can't see a subaru being anywhere near the top!

Also i can only think of 5 that really deserve the title being....



Datsun 1600 (or Ford Escort if you are that way inclined!)

Ford Mustang (first of the real muscle cars)

VW Beetle (first real peoples car other than the Model T)

Audi Quattro (gave us the 4WD and killed all before it in rallying)

Maclaren F1 (probably the greatest driver car ever!)


So what do you all think, is this a fair assesment or am i way off the mark?

R32 GTR should be in there for setting the standard in JAP power house

F40 should make it in there somewhere.

GTHO Phase III should crack a mention surely :) Not my personal choice I would prefer an A9X but it has the rep and stats to back up a top 5

F40 for sure also!

+1 for the McLaren F1.

Surely you can add the WRX on the grounds of bringing affordable performance to the consumer.

There's a lot of cars that are icons but not many were actually great cars. I'd put the Mustang in that boat (Pun intended).

Aston DB9
Lancia Stratos
911. Love it or hate it. It's still around and bloody quick in the right hands.
300SL. Who needs a reason.
