Which tint to get

Booked the new GTI in to get tint with Tint-A-Car next Wed and am a little undecided as to exactly which tint to go for.

Midnight Express. Cheapest and non reflective.

Octane. Darkest Legal and slightly reflective.

Formula 1. Lightest of the 3 and same price as the octane.

Not fussed about the price just want to know which one is going to look the best on white. I'm leaning towards the Midnight Express cos I think a flat black is going to look better but had dark cars for the last 8 years and haven't paid much attention to anything else.

I was under the impression Midnight Express was the darkest legal

My bugeye has midnight express done when I first bought the car a few years ago I find it is good and is not too dark at night.

Thanx for the thought Philbo but these guys did a good job on the STi and they are walking distance after I drop it off and pick it up.

Carlisle is a bit of a prick.

The midnight express is $395 and they said they don't do any discounts on it. The way he said it I think they might be a little flexible on the other two which were $495.

If it was a dark car there would be no question at all about the Octane but think the slightly reflective tint on white just might not be as good as the flatter Black.

Seems to be the way most are leaning to. See in a couple of days and make up my mind.

You can get Midnight Express for $250 cash.....at most tint a cars. Just ask for it with out the warranty. Or get it done at Instant windscreens down the road in ozzie park.
