Using my Q-Nap TS-439Pro-2 to stream to my 360 and PS3. You can use anything really that you can install a compatible DLNA server onto.

My Q-Nap has the TwonkyMedia server - PS3 and 360 detect it automatically. Before i had that I was using a Windows Server / TVersity.

Ideally you want something that is always on and has a low power consumption, hence my choice on a NAS which has this capability.

My NAS might be a bit overkill for home though. It's 4x Drive bays, dual gig ethernet .. shitload of features. Nice though.

i've got an egreat r3a, theyre good tho the firmware/os is very chinglish. plays everything you throw at it tho, plus has a torrent server for downloads independent of computer and dual tv tuners.. costs $250 plus a hard drive and a USB wifi dongle if your ethernet can't reach

i used a ts-209 before the egreat, still use it for storage but i found streaming movies to ps3 over wifi (n mode) skipped and glitched a lot.. does yours do this?

Dont think so - Although my PS3 is plugged in via gigabit ethernet as well, and the Q-Nap is a dual-core CPU model. No issues to laptops on wifi though. If you're watching blu-ray rips over wifi though, you're destined for issues imho regardless how powerful the streaming device is.

Wifi has nothing on gigabit LAN, even if it is 'N'.

Slightly off topic, but has any one used the A.C.Ryan Playon! media player?
