Homeswest Housing etc

Just needing a quick bit of advice/discussion on this.

Up the street there is a house full of pretty dodgy people. I suspect it is a Homeswest home due to the ethnicity and overall nature of the occupants.

The houses on either side of this house have been on the market at least twice in the past year.

In the evenings we can always here shouting/arguing/fighting coming from this house, and there are always smashed bottles/bricks/rubbish around the house, on the road and so on.

Early this morning the occupants were having a brawl in the street outside, that drunk that they could barely stand; but pretty much trying to kill each other.

Police were notified fairly quickly and after a quick chat with them, it seems they know the occupants well - an officer told me that one of them had been in lockup 5 times in the past week.

But basically, I'd rather not live nearby these people. We have been shouted at and threatened/abused by them, and we don't even know them.

I have heard there is a way of evicting Homeswest tenants etc, can anyone shed light on how this is done, and any similar experiences or advice on the matter...
Also, is there any way to find out if it is in fact a Homeswest house...

Are these people......non-reflective?

As far as I know you can contact homeswest and submit complaints, but I think it takes a shirtload of complaints to get someone evicted from one of their places.
I guess if you called homeswest you could also find out if the property in question is one of theirs.

The coppers said that they have had a lot of problems with these people, but no one has issued a proper statement or anything yet. The occupants dont look aboriginal (one is white and the other looks to be of NZ descent) but they sure do talk like them...

I'm going to have a chat with a few other neighbours and get something done.

I found a good thread on PSB about a similar situation http://www.perthstreetbikes.com/forum/f20/problems-homeswest-98989/

Complain but complain nicely, not whinging neighbour. Write a letter to local Housing office, local member & housing minister & CC them all on it.

They will likely just not renew their lease when the time comes....and put another similar family in there since the property is now downgraded & more than likely neglected. Gov is too tight to bring back up to good tenant worthy so only dodgey families will move in.

Good luck. The state housing commission are reluctant to move troublesome families on as they still remain troublesome... just for other neighbours in a new suburb.

There is a family of HomesWest white trash 500m up the road from me that have been there for the past 3 years. They regularly tag everyone's fences, the warehouses across the road, smash plate glass windows of new houses in a nearby estate (while they were being built), constantly loiter in the street drinking and shouting/rapping like the feral wigga's they are. Their mates congregrate at the house and from there they wander around and do what the fuck they want.

Despite 3 years worth of complaints from the poor old people that live behind them and putting up with syringes on their shade-cloth, bottles in their backyard and various objects thrown through their back windows, nothing has been done.

Go to ACA/Today tonight then, they just did a story on one similar house & DOH pulled their finger out & gave them the boot.

No ones going to do their work unless they feel pressure from a senior or or at a risk of losing their job, general public are just a voice you listen to & pretend to act interested.

No point getting them evicted, as the next lot of loosers will move in.

Best solution to move house.

I could never live near shit like that. Dont know how you go day by day with the stress.

You must worry about comming home and hoping your house is still safe.

Sorry to hear mate but really you would want to move to somewhere where homeswest can't put people.
