Meanwhile, police are calling for witnesses to a crash in Willetton in which a 51-year-old man died about 3.10pm on Friday.

The man had been driving a Holden Rodeo east on Apsley Rd when it crashed into a Holden Caprice that had been travelling on Vahland Ave.

The Sunday Times understands the Caprice, driven by a 16-year-old boy who held a learner's permit and carrying three other juveniles, had been racing a black Subaru WRX in the moments leading up to the crash.

Police yesterday urged anyone with information about the crash, in particular the Subaru driver, to make contact. Information about the three crashes can be directed to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
