I currently have a Desire HD. That being said you would be mad to buy a single core phone with all the dual cores coming out VERY soon in Australia.

At the moment, i would recommend the Samsung Galaxy S II (when it's released). It absolutely smashes current phones on the market

The CPU of the phone. It's like comparing an old pentium chip to a core2duo chip.

Personally, I think some companies are forgetting its a freaking phone.

The main advantages of dual-core processors, the speed and efficiency.

Think about it. More processors = more power.

Processing instructions and data recovery are managed with two processors, thus a faster processing will be carried out.

Although most android apps don't take full advantage of the 2 cores yet, they will almost definitely start making apps that take advantage of the new found firepower.
