Car Transport Firms - Cannonball Feb 2012

Is anyone here was involved/owns a car transport firm or transport firm in general that could help direct me to someone appropriate?

The organiser of the Cannonball is looking for a firms to quote/do a deal on getting a large number (as high as 50 maybe less or maybe even more) of Perth cars to Brisbane/Gold Coast Feb 2012 and returned from Melbourne, Victoria to Perth approx 8-10 days later.

I've just used Car Transport
Car dropped off in Brisbane last Friday (Holiday Monday up there). Car arrived in Perth today (need it to clear quarantine apparently so it'll be Monday before I can pick it up)

Can't vouch for car being in one piece as I've yet to pick it up, but the guys were really helpful and that's quite a quick turnaround. Cost me $1300 fully insured.

I've read people getting it for under $1000 but when I shopped around I couldn't find anyone with prices like that.

Interestingly enough CEVA didn't return my emails or phone call asking for quotes.

Alot of those companies contract CEVA to do the actual shipping so if something happens they'll blame CEVA and CEVA will say it's got nothing to do with them as the sub contractor should pay.

Autotrans is part of Toll group. Toll bought out a couple of companies a few years back and were taken to court over it for monopolising the market. I suspect thats why I couldn't find a much better deal.

So far Ceva seems to be the common name always appearing.
