AHG buys Coventry's
Just seen an email at work saying that AHG has bought all 26 Coventry's depots in WA.
Didn't see that coming. |
cov's was already on its knees, so i assume it was a cheap and easy pickup!
wonder how they compete with AMCAP now. |
Umm news to me!! I will check when I get to work.. Last new letter that came out said we where flying along.

|
Amcap will just double in size is my guess.
|
Yeah, thats how i read it.. will just be used as a way for AMCAP to grow.
|
Coventry's is going to be rebranded as Cov's, run in conjunction with existing AMCap operation. Just gives Cov's bigger buying power ($3 billion vs $100 million companies).
Terry Veale must be feeling a little concerned though... |
^This is corect
On the other hand we can all purchase Genuine subaru parts at "covs".....YAY my job is safe.... |
Wow, that is pretty crazy.
AHG has such a strong force in the automotive industry, pitty they treat their staff like crap and only care about making budget. |

Could your order me a genuine 6 speed and then make it go missing from the delivery?

haha on the bright side, bigger and better things Rossco :)
|
Get in line TJ
Just got a call from a freind in covs auto saying, there may be a BIG fire sale next month.. So keep your eyes open, lots of stuff going crazy cheap... |
awesome need some gear oil for my rear diff and gearbox oil too
|
They dont do Motul do they?
|
They've been difficult to deal with for years. Lazy phone sales tell you they don't stock stuff, then you give them the part number from the last purchase and miraculously they can then find one......
Tool warranty claims take 5+ months. I'll have to call you back.......it never happens. The Fasteners rep needs to write shit down or he forgets.....Where's my f**king grinder James?:p ......lol. |
I wonder how much this is going to hurt Repco.
I know Repco is a massive competiter to Coventry's. Maybe this will improve pricing of parts from Covs compared to Repco. |
Amcap was cov's biggest competitor & now AHG has both they'll have an 80% market share in the after market.
Ahg's biggest win will be owning 2 Holden parts distributor networks along with Ford @ Cov's now too. |
I meant with the aftermarket products as I thought Amcap only sold genuine items.
|
They're all pretty similar but Repco is the most retail orientated.
|
Be interesting to see what happens to the price of parts as their buying power will increase but will it be reflected in cost of units sold.
|
Buying power = more profit to share holders seeing as both are public companies...Their won't be price drops.
|
^ correct!!
