Dog Rescue

My family has a dog who is blind and almost deaf. She still lives a great life as she knows she is loved and the way her tail wags is proof of that.

For all the dogs that bring happiness to our lives.

Truck driver happened to take out the Transformer near my office (forgot to put the park break on and went to grab morning tea)... Nek Minit truck rolls 100 metres down the road and hits the transformer... no power. Boss sent us all home.







BTW Those are 'E' Plates in the truck drivers window.

Thanks for the above everyone. I simply cannot stand the way that animals are dealt with in today's society. Puppies are cute for a day and their lifetime a commitment. Say NO to animals in pet stores and backyard breeders and make a pre-licensing mandatory for any animal ownership would do wonders in stopping the neglect of animals.

My dog is with me everyday . . . he's a pack animal, he's part of my pack and he deserves to be treated as such.

Please consider supporting K9 Dog rescue.

Also before you "purchase" a dog have a look at adoption. Also if you are considering a dog have a look at the dogs that are abandoned the most and question "why that particular breed".

Saving the dog story/video really pulls on the old heart strings.

Saw the video the other day. Wonderful.

As a new dog owner (anyone who has seen my FB status' will know from the 100 pictures posted ) I was suprised at the process of buying. Walk into pet store, hand over money, leave with a puppy. No checks to see if I had a house, a yard or 10 other animals at home. No follow ups to make sure the puppy is still ok. Nothing.

It was quite amazing how easy it was to be put in control of this life and how easy it would be for someone to go 'ooh cute' buy it then realises it shits and pisses everywhere which they don't want to deal with.

You can't go fishing without a license, so perhaps a pet ownership license should come into play.

Most people should be licensed to breed as well.

We adopted our dog from the RSPCA years ago. He was abandoned.
We had to go through a few checks before we were allowed to have him, and he had to have his bollocks cut off and be microchipped. I favour adopting pets in this fashion.
