Motor back in and running . Give it a rev after bleeding radiator . Raspy sweet boxer sound from new headers and a nice dose of crackly over run when going for first drive.

Had my mate's wedding down south over the weekend just gone. I was best man and stressed to buggery about doing the speech. He tried his best to dictate what I could and couldn't say due to the following reasons:
1) I have a questionable and inappropriate sense of humour (no sexist or racist jokes, no stereotyping his race/background)
2) He is Anglo-Indian and had relatives coming from out of state whom I'd never met
3) The brides Mum is a conservative Italian

Now a best man's speech is a 50/50 chance on whether it's going to be gold or a total flop. It really depends on the audiences sensibilities and how precious they are. I was nervous as fuck, as I'm only ever used to being a cunt behind a keyboard. I was fighting all day with the decision of whether or not to use the opening gag I had thought of. I grabbed the microphone from my mate's Dad after his speech, just held it until there was dead silence and everyone was looking at me and said the following:

"I never thought I'd see the day where Galvin would actually marry a curry (his wife's surname is/was Currie, and him being Indian...it wrote itself)

I was expecting to hear crickets chirping and people looking at their shoes in embarrassment but the place erupted with cheers and claps to my surprise. And relief! For the rest of the night I had people coming up and telling me that the speech was fantastic. This included the videographer who said he has filmed hundreds of weddings and said that my speech was up there amongst the best he's ever heard. Even my best friend SMS'd me the next day with a personal thanks and asked if he could have the copy of the speech that I read from as a keepsake. Really chuffed that I could contribute in such a way that was never expected.

Anyway, bbl. Gotta shove this sand back in my vagina before my personality changes too drastically.
