cheap flights to america?
hey dudes!
looking at going over to america in 2 months and im sorting out the flights at the moment, beast deal i have found so far is $2000 with air new zealand but it has a stop over of 13 hours in NZ then over to LAX. just wondering if $2000 return is a good price or if anyone can recomend a cheap way to get over? thanks! luke |
ive got a brother that lives in america and he travels back and forth once a year, that is a good price for a flight since your booking to travel in 2 months

have you looked at expedia.com?
4 of my mates have just booked return flights to LA (in october) for 1200 |
$2000 is a bargain and air NZ is meant to be one of the best carriers ex aus to usa.

$2000 is cheap. I was looking at going over in October and the cheapest my mate (a travel agent) could find was $2600. Extend your lay over in NZ to a couple of days. Aukland is a nice place.

Brendon[/QUOTE] ^^^ This. Believe me when I say that the flight sucks from Perth to LAX / SFO. It is so long. I usually go Qantas from Perth --> Syd --> Bus xfer --> Customs --> then the 12 or 13 hour flight. A break in Travel is the best thing to do. When I came back, I went SFO to Hong Kong, small stopover, then onto Singapore for 5 days before back to Perth. It was Awesome as the flight was broken up into an 8 hour, 2 hour, 5 hour journey. |
i am flying this Air NZ flight on the 16th of june. 14 hr lay over in Auckland, i dont mind that as i never been to NZ so will head in to the city for some sight seeing.
I booked these flights back in November and paid $1529 return which is dirt cheap and Air NZ is meant to be one of the best airlines. At one stage those flights went down to $1323!! Checked a week ago and they were about $2300 now Qantas was having a sale to dallas for $2200 ex perth, check singapore airlines or malaysian, malay should be around 2k, you just missed their sale too. 2k is a pretty standard sorta price, expect to pay that at least during peak season, unless you can get a sale ticket. Qantas/singapore peak time non sale fare is around 2.5k, V Aust and Malaysian airlines seem to be closer to 2k. Air Nz is pretty varied. |
ended up booking for just under $2000 so im happy with that , cant wait to eat 20kg of cheese and came back a fat slunt :)
