Hey guys planning to head over to the states this time next year.

Just weighing up my options and curious if anyone has done a contiki or just planned and travelled themselves. im looking at saving 10k including flights. Looking at spending 3 to 4 weeks and want to see LA, Vegas, New York and Georgia.

Any info or stories would be great

I was born in Athens Georgia and I be farked if I know anyone in this country who has even heard of Stone Mountain...intrigued to say the least.

Just for the record, today Georgia is seriously full of black and white trash but has some great civil war history.

My favourite musician is 2pac and his mother has set up a performing arts centre there run by herself and her family and just curious and very interested in seeing the place and meeting 2pac mother.

Plus not far from new york from what i can see??

I did the great southern contiki trip from LA to NYC all through the bottom. From memory was about 30 days.

Had a great time. I had already been to places like LA, Vegas, Grand Canyon, Florida before but I think if it was you first time you would want more time in Vegas and also Florida. If you were in Florida it would seem silly not to at least go Miami aswell.

Stay away from nth/sth Carolina unless you love guns, rednecks and niggaaaas, spent 3 months working there and not a pleasant experience:)

The Deep south is Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana should be avoided unless you want to go to New Orleans for MG.
