Keen to know if the speed camera operates in all directions or not.

To the best of my knowledge the speed / red light cameras are only two directional being the direction and opposite direction that the camera faces. Not all four directions on the intersection.

The cameras are triggered by an induction circuit under the asphalt. You can sometimes see the rectangular patterns of the cables apparent in the asphalt one at the intersections.

there are two heads on those things. the small head detects speeding and only works on one direction. The big head is a infer-red video recorder for catching running redlight works on both direction

If it only catches speeding in one direction is that face on the camera or away from the camera?

So the speed ones only catch you from behind and only the direction that the doodah is facing...

Thats what i believe to be correct! And red light operates both ways - Any technical info that can be brought up on these things would be great though to validate.

All i can find so far is the link i posted above from Redflex, which doesn't get into serious detail about the specific functions of operation.
