Parking in Subiaco, any locals got any tips?

Hey guys,

So work just moved in to Subiaco last week and I'm chasing some parking options.

Apart from the stupidly expensive wilson parking bays etc, do you guys know of any early bird parking or residential areas that I can sneak into that don't have 1 or 2 hour parking limits? Any help will be muchly appreciated :)

thx

Park in the clamping areas, don't buy a ticket, but keep this handy so you can remove the clamp..

Subiaco was an absolute joke to park when i was working at iiNet. From what alot of people did including myself. Park on Back streets near residential part, Risk a fine, but from what i experienced. Free parking, $50 fine maybe once a month. Beats $100 + or so a week.

Where you working? I just started a job in subi too....took public transport for 2 weeks, hated it, now i have my own spot for $12 a day...yes its stupid money....but i just try to save money by bringing my own lunch lol....

It's kinda a lose- lose situation though, free parking is so far away it's not worth it, and in most cases there are strict time restrictions....

Slap what did you use to do at ii?

Public transport is an absolute joke. We moved from West Perth where I could just take the RED cat bus from Perth underground. Now I gotta take the jam packed train on the fremantle line (and also wait like an extra 10mins at times) to Subiaco.

I'm around the corner from Townsend/Hay street intersection. See: corner townsend and hay subiaco - Google Maps

One of the girls here parked on York street yesterday (2hr parking zone) and didn't get fined at all so it seems like Slap Dash's suggestion may be the one worth going for.

Thing is me and some people from work want to head to fitness first before work so I'll get in the city at like 6.45am meaning if there is any free parking on suburban streets then I should be in early enough to take it.

I even looked around on google maps street view for areas like next to the police station in subiaco but even there its only 2hr parking! so fkd.

Plus then I would have to have your car towed as then I wouldn't have anywhere to park.

How far away is that from the Telstra building Jason on Stirling Street Perth?

Cat bus may also be needed I'm assuming?
