Cool car. I think the reason it seems slower than you'd expect, with 184 kw in a small car, is cause it's FWD. Mazda aren't going to make it 4WD. The engine management system limits torque in the lower gears in order to try to keep the car on the road.

Despite that, I think it'll work. They seem to have got their sums right, chassis wise, on both the standard 3 and the 6...

Was 4WD ever an option ? Is 4WD available overseas and they just don't bring
them here ? I for one am dissapointed if it aint going to be 4WD.

They have gone so far with this car but lack of 4WD lets it down and takes
the wind out of my sails.

Yeah, hence the torque limiter in the lower gears.

I really like it (based on what I've read) The stock 3 is a sweet little thing as it is. I might be jumping the gun but Turbo FWD can work. and I think this little terror might just be a budget Focus RS...
