Not trying to sound like a prick here, but what device did you use to measure the speed of the vehicle?
Or was it exaggerated to prove the point that they were exceeding the limit?

^^ nevermind, just saw Dave's post in the News Thread.

I had my previous car (09 desiel Lux) up to ~140 (private road on a mates farm) and I'd be loathe to go any faster than that! the wind buffering and lift due to the height of the car made it very "twitchy".

I have. In a turbo diesel model, on a long straight road in the middle of Africa. Wasn't as scary as I thought it would be.

I raise you with an '89 Nissan Patrol n/a 4.2 doing 160 down a straight road.
Wasn't windy at the time but the car was moving around, a lot!

Heh, I've done that in a n/a Nissan Patrol too, same stretch of road in Africa. Both these vehicles were new back in '07 models I think. And you're right, the Patrol bounces around ALOT!

Anony .

Averaged 150km in GQ Patrol in Africa - didn't notice the "bounce" but it was a fully laden, in built water tanks, LR fuel etc.

Speed isn't the issue - muppet driving is.
