Shell v-power 98
So I go to the local Shell today to find no more premium just diesle, 91 and v-power 98...
So I am kinda happy. I am guessing in WA it's the same shit as everyone elses 98....or not. Can anyone give us a run down, like is it the same as ultimate... Wazza |

Most peoples consensus is that its better than BP & Caltex 98, however there is no actual proof.

Have run it back to back then back to bp in my car and I haven't noticed any difference even in better fuel economy between the 2 only thing is it was a tad cheaper than bp I guess that's a + wazza

Its been out a while now, and it did feel like it gave a bit more oomph (psychological maybe?)... but I cannot be sure - Because switching between 4 cars, everytime I go back to the subie, it feels like pure joy to drive.

I've been running it regularly because the shell near me is consistently 13c a litre cheaper than the BP or Caltex's near me, plus 8c voucher.. On a stock car, there's little to no difference. Of my car was 400hp tuned to run on ultimate, I'd stick to that!

I didn't feel any extra oomph out of shell V power. But on my first tank I got 550 spirited kms compared to Ultimate which I have been running for 5 years and never seen anything more than 500km on very controlled highway driving (usually 400 on the dot).
My only problem is there isn't a shell close by.

I've kept a log of every fill & my fuel usage since I bought my car. Averaging the figures over a 10 fill cycle for each brand there is no difference between Shell, BP & Caltex. Also I can't notice any difference in the way the vehicle performs. I usually try to stick to Shell (brand loyalty), and try to get my fuel from the same servo's when I can (ones that I have had no issues with, and I'm confident that they don't dilute their product with regular unleaded or Tolulene.)

usually the price is the only difference from BP
I got my car tuned on Vpower when I turned to Twinscroll so been using it ever since no complains also get 4cents discount :P mileage has also been the same 380-400 odd km from freeway/city BP taste sweeter tho

I've tried the BP, Caltex & Shell 98RON fuels, They all seem the same to me & I assume as with most fuels in WA they all come from the BP refinery in Kwinana.
