Cycling?

Hi all,
Have noticed in some threads guys are talking a bit about road cycling, I did a search and there were a few old threads about it but thought i'd start a more recent one.

If anyone is keen on getting a small group together to go for a pedal around the river or up through the hills, stop for coffee and talk cars I reckon that would be good.

I am just getting back into it after injuring my back at gym & there is nothing I hate more than being bored on a solo ride.

If anyone else has any ideas about this let me know.

Cheers,
Josh

I went to the Saturday morning meet at Velvet in my lycra. It was awkward. :)

Cyclists are definitely welcome at Cars + Coffee.. there are a fair few of us that are into bicycles also!

I might be interested. I cycle a little bit, try to cycle to work and back a couple of times a week, which is about 60km a day. Certainly not a pro and my bike isnt the best. Haven't done any group rides yet.

Wow, I wasn't expecting any responses...this is cool!
I used to ride competitively the last few years, but have recently had a few months off due to injury/work/uni so I am just getting fit again myself,
Just an idea: getting a few of us together before the cars +coffee meet to do a 30-40km loop around the river and finishing at velvet in time for cars + coffee on Saturday mornings?

I'd be in if I didn't have to work Saturdays :(
Sunday mornings I'm down though, I usually go for a ride then anyhow.

I've been rising regularly since about October last year. I
Haven't ridden in a couple of weeks tho with the birth of my bub, no energy ATM. I often do the 45km treck home from CBD to Butler as well as coastal laps during the weekends etc. need click in pedals / shoes next!

I've only just started out riding. only doing about 10-15klm at a time though. Clipless is the way to go Kim, so much easier!

But scary when you have a crash :p

I hit a dog at speed a few months ago, sucks when you know you are going down and dont have time to unclip :D Luckily cuts on my knee was the only injury.
