problem lies that is is a small team of 8 (10 including myself and my trainee) so having 4 people who hate the mole and a further 2 that dislike the way she is but wont say anything, and 1 who can put up with her, leaves everyone feeling a bit shit when any sort of 'group activity' arises

In my experiance, people like this never change.

Have your bonding, group orgy, BBQ or whatever and they will be nice for the day. Back in the office when they are in power again they just go back to their same old wanker ways.

Whatever bonding excercise you come up with.Make sure she is in no position of power at all for it. If she tries to take over at any point, make sure everyone speaks over the top of her and ignores everything she says or it will just boost her ego trip.

yeah that is my opinion - damage has been done, and she won't change.

She needs to have all her power taken away anyway. It's even gotten to the point where people from other sections don't bring work to this team, they outsource it to the eastern states rather than coming down here to talk to her face to face!

What I find amusing is that 1 person can make 8 people lives hell but 8 people cant make 1 persons work life shit.
