EVO 9 Rim offset?

A friend of mine has an evo 9 and wants to buy a set of track rims and tyres. He wants to know what the width and offset should be to run a 245 or 255 tyre on a 17" rim. Doesnt want to roll any guards so straight fit is a must. He has KW V3 coilovers and can raise or lower to suit the tyres.

Any help would be great. He isnt on evo forums so thought I would ask here.

Would you do me a favour and post that question there for me please?

The stock enkeis will fit a 255 tyre. I think they are a 17x8.5 +38.

Edit: This is 17x9 +25 on a IX be about as far as you would want to go imo:

Sweet! So Could he go 17x9 @+38 and fit the 255's and still clear guards?

Bloody evos and their massive guards!

I'm not full spec on anything below the X, but yeah there be a massive gap to fill :)

Russ,

I am running 17x9 +35 rims with 255's, you want to aim between +28-35, stock is 17x8 +38

Also some rim spoke design is not ideal and will foul on the caliper.

Family member has an Evo 9 with 18x9 +32 and they fit with no rubbing.

He also has KW V3's.
