Redbull Stratos - Freefall from the edge of space
 

Well as most of you know the attempt early Tuesday morning was aborted due to winds at ground level and the next attempt is in just under couple of hours (already delayed a couple of times tonight).

I figured id make another thread instead of filling up the youtube thread with this :p Hopefully it doesn't get delayed again and good luck to Felix and everyone on the team for the jump. It will be interesting to see if he actually does reach Mach 1.

yeah cant wait to see it, that guy must have the biggest balls in the world. i hate being 20m high let alone jumping out of a balloon at 120,000 feet :O

It will be crazy!
Its going to be about 3 hours to get up to 120,000 ft (36km) and about they are expecting him to get back to earth in about 15-20 min and they expect him to get to the speed of sound in about 40sec... if he does get to the speed of sound.

They have also started transmitting video on the youtube link now.
