Looking for New Phone
Time to upgrade and wondering what choices people are making.
Currently looking at iPhone 5 and Samsung Galaxy S III. Anything else worth looking at? Cheers, |
or Google Nexus 4. Those are the 3 best phones on the market at the moment. I like Android, so it would be Nexus for me. Plus it's only $399 for 16GB version.

+1 for HTC One XL. Upgraded from an iPhone4, so much better.

Samsung Galaxy S3, I've heard a few people that have got a new iPhone 5 and have already asked to see if they can go back to a 4S.
But I also have a S3 and quite like it :p |
Just bought a iPhone5 and love it :)
Super fast and smooth, no lag and the app store is awesome! Had a android HTC before, was good, but the apps on Google play aren't as good, and got spammed a lot from the apps |
What features do you want?
iPhone 5 - Best choice imo if you want something that just works out of the box and has good support if there is a hardware issue (being able to just walk into an Apple store and walk out with a new phone is brilliant compared to shipping it off and waiting weeks like other manufacturers) If you want to hack around, go Android. Nexus 4 - Pure Googles! Samsung Note 2 (if you want the biggest screen out there - surprisingly it fits well in the pocket!) Galaxy S3 imo is 'fragile' Nokia Lumina 920 if you want to jump to the Win8 stuff |
Samsung just released the Note 2. Might be worth having a look at that as well

I'm going to be in the same "what phone do I get" boat early next year, hopefully it will be clear cut by then. Probably not, but we can always hope........with all the existing crap I have accumulated, iPhone 5 seems the logical choice though.
Its amazing how quickly Nokia went from being the must have phone to hardly ever seen. They didn't really catch the smartphone wave as it rolled in. Oh, and 8850 > 5110 :p |
