Samsung Galaxy 3 III 4G (earbud issue)

Greetings,

Currently googling but wondering if anyone has come across the same issue.

Just recently when I plugged my earbuds into the above they stopped playing through the earbud and directly through the phone speaker.

Is there an option to choose where the music is played from or possibly an issue with the buds them self?

Unsure if I possibly changed a setting whilst in my pocket etc and don't have another set on hand to check if its an earbud issue.

Edit: 'Connecting earphones will enable audio applications in quick panel', is enabled.

Second Edit: NVM phone reset fixed it

Do you use Bluetooth in car? Total nightmare with my S3 in car. Just not compatible with my BT kit it seems.

Pairs OK, but just flaky at best when it comes to taking calls it seems.

Slightly OT, but my old incredible s did the same thing, upgrading the radio rom and bluetooth drivers in the kernel seemed to have fixed it.

Haven't had an issue with the One XL at all, from memory it has a much newer/modern bluetooth module in it.
Pairs nearly instantaneously with the stock stereo in my car.

Apparently there are also some Android friendly stereos out there, not too sure if there is any truth to this at all.

Yeah, i am running Cyanogen Mod on it, fairly recent version (Jellybean). Had the same issue on the stock ROM too.

I tend to take a lot of calls in the car. :(

Still running the same radio rom?
I know this can affect the bluetooth module in some cases.

I've not used bluetooth with my Galaxy, but was recommended Jawbone from the outlet I got my phone from if I wanted to go that way.

The way I see it is that if the phone supports calls over bluetooth, then it should work right out the box and you shouldn't need to get a third party application or device to make it work :(

Edit: referring to stereo pairing, not the jawbone.

Sorry to high jack.. I have a S3 also but dont really listen to music,
but recently did the samsung update, now the phone seems to be a little laggy
when backing out of progamms and also has hung on a few screens too..
The phone was fantastic before. and now its giving me the shits with this new update..

Wonder if doing a factory reset would help?
My personal preference would be to get a custom rom on there :D
Have you checked the XDA Forums or Whirlpool Samsung sub forum to see if any one has been encountering the same problem as you?

Been looking at the SPB shell, had it on previous phones and was so much simpler to use then the factory setup.

This was sometime ago has anyone used it recently and care to comment?
