Ipod Shuffle
Hey guys & gals
Can anyone recommend where to buy new Ipod gear at a good price? Either online or local. Everywhere seems to be $99 for a 512mb shuffle...Any cheaper ones apart from ebay? Ta! Heidi :D |
Pricing is standard from all suppliers, i found this out when i bought mine late last year. Doesnt matter where in perth you buy pricing will be the same. unless some techo geeks can point you in the direction of a cheaper supplier.

The only way to get them a little cheaper is to make friends with a uni student or school teacher. You generally get about 8% off.
They offer discount on all the ipods except shuffle. Brendon |
This is part of Apple's iPod Pricing Strategy....not only does it allow them to maintain high profit margins year after year, due to fixed rather than variable costs for their componentry and an electronics supply chain that allows them to use off the shelf, non-proprietary components at a low price, but it allows Apple to retain a level of "prestige" amongst their customers.
Accept it, or buy a substitute product from one of their competitors :) /strategic marketing mode off :D |
ahhh ok.... thanks for the info guys!!!!!!

Just pretend to be a student or teacher, this umm guy I know does it all the time when i... i mean he buys apple products, they never chase it up!!
e.g you go onto the apple website, go to academic prices and it says what school, whats your position.. thats it |
I have a brand new 512mb shuffle here which you can have for $60. It has been removed from the box and checked but not used any more than that.
We got it as a present for my daughter but then a friend got an ipod mini for her. |
