I downloaded an app called scanner radio and right now listening to the Boston bomber manhunt. Pretty freaky hearing it live from the other side of the world, heard mentions of 1500 cops deployed and another of blackhawk choppers landing.

I picked up a Sony Xperia Z a couple weeks ago.
Was looking at the HTC One and thought it did look fairly superb, one thing that bugged me was the off center screen. It's slightly too close to the top compared to the bottom which makes it a bit odd when using in landscape.
The xperia though is fantastic although too big to fit properly in my pocket :S
That's OK though as its primarily my new PSP anyway. With all that processing power how could I not just use it to play games. Also being a 5" screen makes watching videos on it really good, much better than I was expecting.

Early report on htc one -

Speakers sound awesome - such a crisp sound. For something attached to a light phone, they are amazing. First go was meh, then realised it was a low quality mp3. Run something decent through it and they rock.

Battery life - WOW. I was really nervous having owned a one xl that was horrid on battery life. 13 hours since charge, been using it all day, 40 min of navigating, still at 49% and thats a mix of wifi, 3g, and 4g which I get at home. One xl would of lasted 4 hours, s3 7 or 8 I reckon.

Camera is gooooood.

Blink feed is cool once you set it to what you like.

Sits in your hand perfectly, much better than the one xl, s3, etc.

Loving it.

Galaxy S4 is out tomorrow. Was set on getting it to upgrade from my S2, but it's getting mixed reviews. HTC One is tempting too, both phones seem to have good and bad points, not sure which way to go!

S4 for me most likely, just need to get some reviews on the firmware and its root-ability.
