Largely a facelifted VE, but the changes look good so far as a world market car goes. Fingers crossed the export market reflects this and we keep a few Aussie jobs.

Very keen to see what HSV have to offer.

I'm a fan of the E3 and if the rumours of supercharged 6.2L goodness + transaxle gearbox are actually real... God damn.

Have not heard a rumour of a transaxle, would that not make it a mid or rear mounted engine?

My guess is no!

Sure, the windows, doors and roof are the same, and the power plant is most likely to remain unchanged...

But what about every aspect of the interior? Or the aluminium bonnet and boot? Or the vastly different styling of both the front and rear? Or the massive improvements in the refinement and technology (keep in mind the base model is only a $30k car)

Why abandon such a good package (the VE) that cost a billion dollars to develop?

Of course it wont. I don't think that was ever inferred.

EDIT: However, the interior will be very similar in design. They've stuck to one design across the board, and varied the materials used to fit into various price points.

Legit-ish rumours from some form of source or hear say that a flat capped apprentice has decided is true and spread on the net?

They need something to compete with the Ford!
