Bingo, I was quite amused when I figured it out at service. There is no sign of any orange glass, plastic housing, or wiring! Apparently Curly saw the stick on the racing line, but didn't realise it was pointing towards him. It was just lucky it wasn't a bit further across, as it would have gone straight through the radiator.
oh well. Anyone have a suitable indicator and the plug that holds the globe? Cheers, Wavey.
