Anyone on here work for a workshop that handles yellow stickers?

As above.

Does anyone on the forums work for a workshop that handles defect notices. My stock car got yellow stickered for excessive noise today.

Any help be much appreciated I'm trying to get it removed by tomorrow.

Really? I've had nothing but good experiences there. Down under auto in wangara is a different story though.

trainwrex 25-04-2013 07:45 PM

If you call sitting at the lights minding my own business call for justification to pull me over.

I heard about Pebco also?

Autopower I've heard mixed things doing a quick search..

I'm just wanting to get it cleared Tom.

if your car is on a public road, then yeah its justified.

jasonmurray 25-04-2013 08:00 PM

Did the red car get a sticker Tino?

06STI 25-04-2013 08:18 PM

If everything is stock/legal it will pass at any of the inspection workshop if not I believe there is at lest one where some beer and cash will go a really long way. Pm for location

Rexxar 26-04-2013 08:52 AM

book a time in one of the DPI inspection centre will pass first go and would only take 20mins at max
Not Welshpool DPI as that is a first come first serve basis

BOMB3R 26-04-2013 09:05 AM

LOL Tino.............................spends quarter mill on STi, can't get help with yellow on Fezza................WTF haha surely you have some workshop connections?

Strubaru 26-04-2013 09:17 AM

most heavily modded sti around these parts..... goes un-noticed by po-po
stock as a rock fez.... gets a yellow sticker

Wells97 26-04-2013 09:32 AM

Shut up.. have no workshop connections.. I am taking the car back to where it was first regoed they passed it the first time so they cant have an issue with it.

PS if anyone can get the sticker taken off today they can take the car for a lap around the block!

its very annoying this whole situation. I want to drive my car but a car that already gets so much attention and now with the sticker creates even more attention! There were people taking pics of the sticker just because they havent seen it on a Ferrari before.. I think no one has ever seen a super car being stickered...

Bob 26-04-2013 09:45 AM

Pics of canary Fezza don't seem to be loading.

American Dave 26-04-2013 10:03 AM

FB pic says it all

Those people taking pics include you naturally as it is on your fb :P

If you cant deal with attention I could arrange to have it traded in for a Delica or similar ... it s a bright red loud Ferrari Tino, of course its going to get attention...

Touching on loud, I suspect it wont pass a db test.

I would go for a drive to Pebco and be reaaaal nice.

Blame the ACCC for fucking the good old days of resolving these issues.

Im making people aware of the absurdity of this situation Tom lol..

I dont mind the attention but this extra attention is embarrassing as people will think i was being a tool to get it when quite the opposite was the fact.

The car is dead stock, has been complied and was inspected over the pits 8months ago for registration. I will be annoyed now that i will have to rectify something that is stock with what and how i dont know?

teejay 26-04-2013 10:21 AM

If it passed should be all good second time round - just get it booked in somewhere whether its official centre of affiliate.

And yes - this thread alone shows you that people will instantly default to thinking you were being a cock.

Strubaru 26-04-2013 10:29 AM

take a drive upto gin gin, might be worth calling them prior to confirm they can look at it

Kiiz 26-04-2013 11:04 AM

when i was at welshpool last month i failed the db test with just a muffler on a stock rex.

i asked the guy how all the lambos, ferraris and harleys pass and he said he fails every one of them.
probz dont wanna go there. today is last day for first come first serve i think

Bob 26-04-2013 11:20 AM

I'd be dropping into Barbagallo for some pointers. Given they sell the cars, they'd have first hand experience.

Tony 26-04-2013 11:21 AM

just throw afew head butts.
I'd be dropping into Barbagallo for some pointers. Given they sell the cars, they'd have first hand experience.
They will quite bluntly tell you to f.o .. not interested if its not bought through them.

Bob 26-04-2013 11:40 AM

Would be silly to turn down the prospect of servicing work regardless of place of purchse and certainly the potential of a future purchse. Of all the places around perth they would have the best understanding of what exhaust is on the car and any prior EPA related pre-sale registration issues. If the plod are out targeting these cars you would expect them to be informed too. Worth a shot. They can only say no.

teejay 26-04-2013 11:46 AM

I agree.

Given recent interactions with people in Tinos position (car not bought from barbs, needing help) their feedback was they wernt interested in helping if they had no history with it.

Servicing is another thing, sure book it in.

Sharpy.au 26-04-2013 02:03 PM

You went past me the other day on south street at fairly low revs just cruising, it sounded amazing but I did think it seemed really loud, like the bypass valve was open but you weren't over 30% throttle/8500rpm for sure. It might be the stock exhaust but are you sure the bypass valve hasn't been fiddled with by the previous owner?

EXPLICIT 26-04-2013 03:46 PM

It's got actuators in the exhaust system. The system is compliant. Go over pits and get over it, shit happens....often.

Sharpy.au 26-04-2013 04:22 PM

Bypass valves/actuators - same thing

teejay 29-04-2013 12:46 PM
