Previous Rides?
Hey all... did a search & couldn't find a thread on this topic; I know it was posted up on former forums though. Always interested to see what members have previously owned as their iron chariot... From past threads on the old forums, I've seen some pretty interesting lists, especially from the older members. One guy had a whole swag of Austin Healeys, Triumph Spitfires, MGB's etc.
Here's mine:

1959 Morris Major 1500 sedan (Now ultra rare)
1975 Ford Cortina L sedan
1969 Fiat type AC coupe (Extremely rare now)
1972 Holden Kingswood 253 V8 sedan (3 on the tree converted to Trimatic)
1970 MGB MkII roadster with Overdrive (Damn, miss this one)
1983 Nissan EXA coupe Turbo (Only new car ever bought)
1971 Toyota Celica TA22, converted by engineer to a soft-top convertible
1975 Toyota Landcruiser SWB wagon with Fairey Overdrive
1984 Holden Commodore VK wagon
1991 Subaru Liberty GX wagon AWD
1984 Subaru L series Touring Wagon 4WD
1999 Subaru Impreza WRX sedan (currently own)
1997 Subaru Outback Limited wagon (currently own)
What's your list? And if you ever owned a Camira or a Leyland P76, be brutally honest :p |

1969 Ford Capri GT (first car, gearbox used to emit smoke when going up hills)
1981 Commodore VC (parents old car) 1996 Commodore VS 2008 Jeep Wrangler (black soft top) 2003 Toyota Echo (wife's car) 2006 Subaru WRX (current car) There was also an Aprilia RS250 in there as well. Damn thing went like a rocket! The Capri was really fun to drive, and if I remember correctly it had some sort of Escort engine in it, and extractors in it. I sold it for a $100 and it had absolutely no brakes when it was sold. I also recall that the Capri could be unlocked and started with a pen lid. |
Wish I could contribute with an awesome list but I'm a one car kind of gal :D

Parents painted it with a hand roller, it did massive skids, was faster than my first vn which had a built motor! and went nearly 600k km and wasnt serviced for the last 100 of those.. finally an electrical problem killed it... 3 years later!
