u can buy from harvey norman or any retailer like that. what u need to know is how square metres is the area u want to heat. also tell them about the high ceilings and tiles. the rinnai convector heaters and everdure convectors are the way to go.

Radiant gas heaters are great if you like to look at something at get the feeling of warmth. Fan driven convection heaters are the most effective for heating large spaces fast. My personal preference is convection as I am not too concerned about being able to look at something glowing red and stand in front of it. More want something I can turn on and have the house warm in about 15 mins....

I've got a Rinnai Convector, which is the gas blower type and I can confirm that it turns a big tiled and glass-windowed room into a sauna at the drop of a hat

I'm moving overseas shortly, and i'd consider selling it if you're interested?

I bought a Rinnai Granada MKII.

Good for heating. Step out of your house, take 2-3 breaths of fresh air.

Step back into the house and you'll notice a strong gas smell. I don't know if this is normal for a gas heater but if it is, its a great turn off.

The pipes itself isn't leaking because if it does, I'll still be smelling gas even when switched off.

AC, don't these type of heaters have to have a flue/chimney now. I know that is the case in eastern states due to toxic by-products produced when impurities in the gas are combused.

technically they are a unflued style heater. but u do need two vents near it, in the roof and in the wall. wat ur smelling AC is the oxide levels are getting high. with the convectors they have a oxygen deplection system, when the oxygen levels get to low, the heater turns off. thats wat all the fuss was about over the eastern states.

Nope there isn't. Its pretty much plug and play.

I've stopped using it because the gas smell is simply too strong. I'll be calling up Rannai and ask if this is normal. For now I'm relying on electric heaters.
