need help converting tiff images to jpegs. can someone recommend a website .thanks

Can't you just open the image. Right click on it. Save as, then rename it, ending with .jpg ?

LOL no. One format is lossless, one is lossy. Needs to be run through software algorithms in order to compress the image data.

If on a Mac, Preview will be able to do what you need.

Irfan view will do the trick - it's free.

Generally the following websites are most useful for finding open source/useful apps:
