Default External Portable Hard Drive Issue!

Hi Peeps,

Just wondering if anyone in our PWRX Forums can help me out with a major problem?

Last night my daughter thought it would be a good idea to plug my Silicon Power 1TB into her Xbox 360 and now it doesnt work at all on the PC or the USB connections through the actual TV either?

I've gone into the Device Manager on the PC and found it under Disk management but it says the HDD is Unallocated?

Is anyone out there Computer Savy to run through a way to make this work & recover the files on that hard drive or recommend me to someone?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Cheers
Dom

Download a trial of Acronis disk director if you can and try the 'Acronis recovery expert' mode. run both automatic and manual mode.

I have a copy of the latest Hirens Boot CD that I can upload for you if needed.
It contains a lot of tools that are handy for situations like this.

Not every one torrents and to be honest I would prefer to get it from a more secure source than through torrenting.

Either way, offer is there there if you wish to take it up.

Edit: It appears that they offer a direct download from their site (my how times have changed) and can be accessed at this page or this direct download link.
