I've decided to buy a Radar Detector but really don't know anything about them!?. Anyone on here got one and can vouch for a specific model to buy that's suitable for the Radars used in Australia?.


If I import one from the U.S ( MUCH cheaper than what we pay here) will it be no good here ie are the U.S using diferent Radar frequencies to whats used here...

Are the beltronics Sti Magnum radar detectors any good?

I like the auto-mute on k band on the STI... They also have a good detection range. The V1 is the better detector for laser scatter which could be the difference between a ticket or not.. .
