Min 3k trade in deal?
I have an au falcon that has a front main leak and the tranny is on the way out (needs a 2k rebuild). Long story short its time to cut my losses with the car and move on. This is mostly a question for the guys that work at dealerships but what are the conditions needed to get this min 3k trade in? Would a falcon with a an oil leak and dodgy tranny be acceptable?

Min 3k trade in deal?
I've heard that aslong as it's registered and drivable you're good
Though that's just speculation, I was gonna do the same with my mums 95 Camry, sitting pretty on 380,000kms and falling apart You looking at John Hughes? |
Some say you have to prove you've had it for >6 months too. Stops getting $50 bunkys and trading them in. Let us know how ya go!

Dealer will make money off you anyway
|
3k trade in then a 4k mark up
|
Ask them to forward the terms and conditions.

Holden say as long as uve owned for six months is registered and drives they will take it.

Exactly. |
I once had a dealer in my youth refuse to accept even the $2k minimum trade in due to state of car - it WAS a BOMB.
|
Yeh i get that they mark the price up before i trade my car in. But its so convenient that i can just dust my hands of a car that is going to be pretty difficult to move on.
