Default Integra Type R

I am using my mates Integra Type R at the moment as he is away.

I have never had so much fun in a car before!
Nothing like an 8000RPM redline and throwing it around roundabouts at 70km/h+ feeling quite stable.

This thing is as stock as a rock but damn I love it!
However, couldnt drive it as a daily driver, its just noisy, bumpy, needs to be quite aggresively driven.

Has anybody else had a chance of throwing one of these around?

This is the original type R with the xr falcon looking lights.

DC2R's are quite fun cars out of the factory. Quite a bit of room for modifications aswell.

NA=cash.

I've seen a red EK civic hatchback throw down a 13.2 or something down at the plex a while back. He has got a CR-V block (2.0), no turbo, pretty good for a 2L i'd say.

And a DC5R with the plates 5UK1 do a 14.1 which isn't too bad.

Handling with the DC2R, and DC5R is fantastic. Just no torque

What's with Honda anyway?

No Type R anymore, and looks like no more S2000?

4wd turbos arent that much fun to punt around the street.

THE most fun i've ever had is when I used to own a clio sport - that thing was mental. Quicker than the integra, and much smaller too

yea i had dc5R as my first car!! fucking awsome to throw around, little to no roll at all, like a go-cart, loved everything about it apart form fwd, and N/A

i keep seeing it around here and there, the guy that owns it now hasn't done anything else to it, not alot of cheap/effective mods for them

If you want to go super quick with an ITR, you need to spend cash...basic bolt ons are fun, but wont get you the gains that you might get with, say, a WRX, because they are already in a high state of tune.

I love VTEC Hondas, they can be made to go ultra quick.

I do dream of owning a fast VTEC one day....something mental, like an EG Civic with a stroked H22A

The only thing I have found scary with it so far is torque steer.

I just went around a corner at around 60km/h and the thing just grabbed the wheel.

Anyway its ultra awesome. I am really impressed with it. If I had a lazy $20K laying around I would buy it off of him just for a weekender.

I remember seeing a Turbo Type R for sale in carsales. I couldn't imagine how crazy that would be with the turbo helping out the engine until the VTEC at 5700rpm.
