Best jobs while doing full time study?

hey guys it's been a LOOONG time since i last posted here but i just wanted to get some input. this is my favourite "GO-TO" forum to get decent answers from.

So anyways i might want to start getting back into full time study, wanting to do a full time diploma in engineering. was just wanting to know what the best jobs to have while doing such a commitment. i have rent, loans and bills to pay just like anyone else so the search is tough for me..

I currently have 2yrs store man and 5 years retail experience, HR and LF licenses, clean police record.

any recommendations on what the best types of jobs to go for are? Forky? Nightfill for woolies etc?

Thanks for all your input.

Look at night stores/fork driver at one of the distribution centres in Canning Vale.
Not far from you, and they pay better than Chicken Treat.

You may have to get a start through a labour hire mob as a casual first though.

I worked for a bottle shop during my time studying at university. Open 7 days a week, and often employ students so there is a lot of flexibility regarding what days and times suit you based on lecture times. If you're keen for extra hours, the larger chains can always advise other stores for if they need staff, etc.

The big kicker is working in retail, which was crap enough as is, coupled with dealing with angry drunks and the very occasional hold up.

Casual jobs in 24/7 businesses or at least open 7 days will work ok with flexible hours. Just make sure to manage work and study accordingly.

good luck!

For the last 3 years of my undergrad, I have been doing the Coles home delivery as a driver, only need a c class licence and its a great job in terms of lecture times and flexibility.

I also have the option to pick up as many hours as I need during uni breaks or drop hours during exams, of course staying casual helps with that but it's a good place to work as a student IMO

Lol. I worked for a trolley collection contractor, Hungry Jacks, and TA work. Basically whatever I could get.

Finally scored some data work with an estimating firm which paid a whole lot better, which is why I recommend he use his skills & experience to get something decent.

couple of days ago I had a Coles truck pull up across the road from my house, car was idling for ages. Had a look and saw the driver having a snooze for about 2 hours

If you enjoy your weekends stay away from hospitality.

In regards to getting your uni time table sorted, get in as quickly as possible and bunch your classes for full days over Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 'though engineering may be a stretch.

Enjoy four day weekends :D

Appreciate that advice. What would you consider something different? Cos that Coles delivery driver role sounds pretty decent. I want to take on this endeavour but it's hard to find something casual where I can get similar pay to what I'm on now.
