Car vinyl wrap
hey guys,
seeing who has vinyl wrapped there cars. Cost wise, how long the wrap last as well as how durable it is against stone chips etc (im aussuming if gets damaged would have to replace that whole panel i.e no touchups)... Also what companies ppl have been to. |
Tino...depending on the car (eg Fiat 500 or Landcruiser), you probably won't get much change out of 4K.
Try Stewy at Sign Here Signs (Malaga) or Tammie at Sonic Signs (Wangara). Also ask for Avery Supreme wrap... |
Upwards of 6k for some

Thanks Steve I'll speak to them.
Anyone have experience with durability of the wrap? I think I still prefer painting but that's not really an option on the type of car. |
I've had my roof wrapped for 3-4 years now and there are absolutely no signs of peeling or bubbling. As far as on the body goes, it may be annoying if someone gouges a panel or dents your car in the carpark, etc.

GT Graphics
is not the cheapest but is the best |
I once saw Gav at GT Graphics wrap an entire red F360 in white.
Not just outside panels. inside door sills, headlight assembly, everything. He has wrapped the foglight covers on my car. Still going strong after 3 years give or take. No fade or damage. |
Have you looked at 'Plasti Dip' ? they advertise complete cars from around $1300, could be a cheaper alternative, check out their web site uniquedipping.com . Not sure how durable though (and No, I don't work for them)

Cool thanks guys for the info.
