Default Radar detectors in WA

Does anyone know for sure if radar detectors are legal or illegal in Western Australia? Has anyone been in trouble recently for possessing or using one?

I've read several websites that WA is the only state where radar detectors are legal for use and possession.

Went through a RBT one time with said radar detector on windscreen all that was said was to mount it lower or higher so it did not impair vision

x2. Attracts a nice "obstruction of vision" fine.

Think they may be laser? I could be totoally wrong here but i thought radar is in the patrol cars? And most other camera traps are laser? Not sure about handheld devices?

A Valentine One model will alert to a reverse setup but, effectively, will not save you but will let you know you past one.

In dense traffic you can on occasions get a reflected alert but it will in most cases not be enough notice to slow down.

Current Poliscan photo laser is a very difficult device to detect.

In other words the only effective way to defeat current speed camera systems is with a f&r laser jammer...... which IS illegal.
