Well cheap ones start at $5 to $8 each with p/s fixed position
good ones are arounf $15 to $35 each with p/s can twist all depends where u go. saying that the cheap ones arnt that bad u notice the difference in the mounting of the light in the roof and if the light has swivel or not as well |

With the cheap ones the paint isn't quite as good. It will discolour from the heat. The lights generate a bit of heat.
Generally they good ones are around $25-30 Downlights might look good but are not cheaper to run. eg normal room might have one 60 or 75 watt light globe then you install 4 downlights at 50 watt each equals 200 watts. Remember your power bill is measured by the watts you use. |

the best place to get downlights are rexel in myaree or the beacon lighting right next door for 11.95 for white ones or 13.95 for silver ones. in all my time of doing downlights these seem to work very well.
the key to their lifetime is moving all insulation well away from the downlight and the transformer because they produce a crap load of heat. as for a gpo id say your lookingat between 80-100 dollars per gpo, installed |
