Im in Westminster, been there my entire life, never had an issue.. I think we got the lucky street though, church, 2 schools, 3 retirment complexes and a park.. and the streets only 400m long.

BTW the worst suburb in the world = westfield... like I had to speed to get the hell outta there.... flipped overs cars in yards, guys walking round streets with bats, etc etc...

Much better than living in the majority of what perth is turning into - mindless, boring pleasantville suburbia. Id rather slit my wrists than live in some of these housing estates popping up all over the place... What little character or diversity Perth has left is being destroyed... All the old character homes (i.e. a lot of Mt. Lawley, Bayswater etc) are being knocked down so people can build 2 or 3 shoebox pre-fab townhouses on the same block and rake in the cash... Take the sale and destruction of the Raffles hotel - all because its prime real estate - it was a fabulous looking 80 year old or something building overlooking the river - now its knocked down to build friggin apartments for the young and upwardly mobile. Maybe this attitude is why this city is called Dullsville... F**king gay if you ask me...

I hear you 13 beast! I couldn't believe it when I came over here to live and saw all the souless housing estates popping up all up and down the coast. Houses right on top of one another, no gardens just water-sucking lawn, no eaves so they can maximise floor space on their tiny block, therefore thay have to have the aircon cranking all summer long. Mc Mansions! Shit on the eye and even shitter on the enviornment and water usage. The worst seemed to be on the way in and out of mandurah, just one estate after another. Port Bouvard can lick my arse!

Fucking hell! Where's the character! You can't put a price on that shit (although people obviously have). Driving around streets in south and east freo you still see the old cottages and houses with charm and god it makes a difference. Even Steve's hotel is getting changed into.....you guessed it........fucking expensive yuppie apartments!
