Motorsport Helmets
 

Looking at purchasing a helmet soon for the odd track day, looking at getting my cams licence as well.

Any recommendations as to brands, styles, decent prices etc?

And the best place to purchase them from as well. Am i best off going to revolution racegear or to a motorcycle joint?

you can pick up a nice decent open face helmet for ~$90-150. the motorcycle joint in vic park on albany hwy near mcdonalds, or tenagah in wangar has them. if you go to somewhere like revracegear they will have good OMP/SPARCO helmets for a few hungee more but for entry level motorsport they are really overkill. I had a full face and then sold it for an open face, as the openface weighs about half as much as the full face.

I am sure Go Gear also do helmets

Yeah i got mine from a motorbike shop.

Go gear have good ones but when I was in there they are $500 plus + + +

My helmet is a XXL and it fits the average head well. I dont think i have a large head, but the L (well in my model!) wouldnt even come close to fitting a normal blokes head. Dude at Revolution Racegear told me it's pretty common! I guess like all items we can wear, just gotta try each model on!

I got mine their, i think i paid about $150, but you can obviously get them cheaper from Tenagah etc

Dont skimp on the helmet!!!! do one less mod on your car and put $500 towards your head.
