The whole road safety can of worms needs to be approached from multiple angles. Better initial driver training, better roads and facilities, penalties for breaking rules.

How does the govt expect people to take the laws seriousley when Constable Plod does his bit, slams a drink driver in the system to have his licence removed, amd then he gets it back !

There was a great story in the paper on the weekend about some F@#$wit in Rockingham who was on his 3rd charge for dui when on his extra ordinary. The beak gives him another chance. Because of his employment status.

Chance be f@#$ed, slam his arse in the can for a week. This time.

But spare me and my family the pictures. And don't call me queasy, 'cos when you've had to pick up the body parts, all the photos kind of loose there edge anyway.

if tv programgs and ads had to suit everyone individually, it would be very complicated?

I think smoking ads are more successful then any other govt funded!!

As for drinking, ACTION is the only way!!!

instead of investing in pointless multinovas which dont deter ppl from speeding as the revenue keeps rising, invest in more booze buses!!!!!!!

I can't get into the page to see what all the fuss is about,... however.... being a Medic and working for St John Ambulance around town I've got a fair idea of what's on the page.

People will do the most stupid of things... this includes drink driving. One thing I've found is it's not usually the guy/woman that's pissed that gets hurt, it's the poor sod that was doing the right thing, coming home from work or friends house,... sticking to the road rules that ends up dead!

There's nothing you can do to save people from themselves! Sad,... and a waste of life especially when I see very young people who are dead because some tosser is a selfish bastard, and doesn't give a shit about anyone or anything else!
