Default Fishing for Barra Top End
Hey guys,

Just got back from Darwin, stayed out on a boat just off Melville Isalnd for 5 days fishing for Barra. Awesome is all I have to say. Some of the best fishing I have ever done. Caught a 9kg 94cm Barra, she fought like hell. Highly recomend it to all you fisherman. Some pics:

Gareth, that actually looks like a great idea for a few mates to go an do. What sort of dollars for the hire of the boat etc or was it a mate of yours?

Awesome stuff there mate. Well Done.

I hardly get much of a chance to fishing these days. I'd be happy with 1kg+ Bream from the Swan.

great choice of fishing spots, mate and I went up there about 5 years ago and caught barra for 4 days - great pics too mate!

The skipper said they are happy I did not get into the meter club. They won't alow it, if its your first trip. They have clients that have been coming for years to try and get into the elusive 1 meter club. LOL

Gr8 Boat trip for you and 7 mates. The trip is usually 8 days. & days fishing 1 day traverling. They supply 3 course meals and soft drinks, rods etc. You just gotta bring piss. I think it was around 1000 bucks a day (not to sure) So around $150 a day between 8. Not bad. Heaps of fun.
