Topfield 5000pvrt-bp has twin SD tuners to record two channels at once and then even watch a recorded one at the same time. You can also record HD broadcasts but the unit will not decode them. Thats what your HD LCD TV is for.
Very easy to use unit with a 120GB hard drive, this is upgradeable. You can even change the applications this unit runs by downloading programs of net. There are great upgrade hacks out there called Taps. Why $$$ for twin HD tuners when all you really want to do is record the digital signal and play it on your HD TV. Something to think about. Highly recommended. J

So if you swap out the hard drive in a unit that has the coded setup, and put in another drive, it will NOT work, whats more, the drive you pulled out, wont work for any other process. |

I have two $1000 HD toshiba in lounge room for the rear projection and $160 HD digitech in kitchen for the lcd and both just as good as each other if anything the cheaper ones remote works better.
the cheaper one has more conections on it including dvi etc etc so in that case i woudn't see the point in spending big dollars Last edited by NVRENUF; 13-01-2007 at 05:55 PM. |

The picture quality is also affected by the type of aerial you have and the type of aerial cable used. RG6 is the best cable to use. The link to the DTV forum is a good site to found out more.
