Hi,

I have just bought a Sony Ericsson W300i for the wife, pre-paid on Optus, but she is currently with Telstra (work plan) so I need to get it unlocked, does anyone know of anywhere that does this around Perth?? Or even better, where I can get my hands on the software that unlocks it? There are a few overseas websites that offer this service, but would rather take it somewhere in person.

Long shot I know, but you lot seem to have an answer for most things!!

Be very careful unlocking them though. I have a K800i and got the unlock code from vodafone and when I put it in, the phone had a total melt down 2 minutes later. It is now at Phonebiz WA having major surgery performed on it. It's only 2 months old too

I've used the Crux Unlocker a coupla times successfully... also bought a serial cable over the net & used software links to unlock several others... worth having a google around...

That's good to know, I was dubious about using Crux but might give it a try the next time i have to unlock a phone.

Crux appears to only work for Nokia phones, anyone had any success with Sony Ericsson phones?
