That's my Lux. 03TD hasn't let me down yet. Mainly do beach driving to go fishing and tow the jetski but have done the powerlines as well.

It's a good rig and only has 95k on the ODO so plenty of life in her yet.

I love the CSA rims on Hilux's! I am thinking I might try and replace my one with something like this - a cheap SR model just for towing and beach stuff - mrs has given me the greenlight to have both, just gotta find a cheapy!

The daily:

2001 model Nissan Patrol ST 4.2L TD. Stock mechanically for the moment. Only planned mods very soon are a 3" TB exhaust, boost controller (wind a few more psi in), diddling of the mechanical pump, LR fuel tank, Dobinsons 3" lift, TJM or Bushranger 9.5K pound winch.

(LR tank to be able to help with doing CSR, Gibb River Rd, Simpson, etc).

Vehicle was bought as a daily / weekend offroad warrior / family holiday vehicle / tow vehicle - so it is genuinely used as 4 cars in one. Averages currently around 14.5 - 15L/100 'combined'. But having a roof cage and muddies on the car, I can live with that.

Mods include:

GME 3200 2-way radio.
Roof cage and ladder.
On and offroad satnav systems.
OEM option steel bullbar. (winch capable).
Dual batteries under bonnet and Piranha controller.
OEM snorkel.
Alpine roof mounted DVD player and 3x wireless headphones.
Kenwood in-dash DVD player.
Hella 4000 driving lights.
HID 6K/55w headlight conversion.
BFG muddies. (285/75/16's... literally only for another few hours).
I'm sure there's more I've missed this time around.

Then there is all the "extra" stuff that goes along with 4wding. TJM compressor, full recovery kit, full first aid kit, MaxTraxx, blah blah blah blah. Not 'mods' per-say - but vital none the less.

Handful of photos:

And fail...

*Awaits the obligatory "4L" comments*

Brent.

[EDIT] This is my other "offroad warrior" as Stace said in the first post. Approx 45 kms old.

Mods include:

2x front lights. (One gucci, for quality beam, the other a flashing cheapish one)
Rear light.
Undersaddle gear bag.
High speed pump.
Wireless speedo/trip computer.
2x Zero bottles / cages.

Well... Depending on how you look at it... Yes.

It's a SRAM 2x10 gearset, so effectively doing away with the 'granny ring' - however 'first' is very, very low, and does help do a 'single pegger' up the steepest of hills.
